Make Money Writing For Others

If you are interested in making money from your writing skills then that's really fantastic. There are so many different ways that you can do this. Lots of people find that they are in need of some money but don't know where to turn. You don't need to worry if you aren't the best writer in the world. You just need to be able to put your point across in an interesting way. It helps to have some knowledge about some tings however if you are able to research a topic then you can do that too.

There are different approaches to making money with your writing skills. First of all you should think about writing for others. This is give you experience in writing and you'll be paid for the work that you do. If you are going to write for someone else then you will need to find clients who will pay you.

There are websites such as odesk.com, elance.com and rentacoder.com that allows you to put ads up explaining who you are and what your skills are. You can also reply to job postings. The client might be looking for a writer to do regular work or they might just be looking for you to do a batch or articles.

The type of writing that you will probably do is non-fiction. You will be given a list of keywords that you need to write about. It might be "dog training," "bad credit loans" or "bathroom remodeling." Basically it could be on any topic. You might have experience already in certain topics and that will help you a lot. You can choose to write about whatever you like, however the more flexible you are the better your chances.

Some established websites are also looking for people to write for them. You should get to know websites in topics you are interested in and find out whether they are hiring freelance writers. Finding such websites isn't always easy however you should still look anyway. Unfortunately, there are a lot of people within communities that simply enjoy writing and socialising online which means they will write for nothing. So this doesn't exactly help you find a writing job.

The major problem that freelance writers face is the cheap competition from countries such as India. Let's face it, their English is actually pretty good and they can charge really low prices because the cost of living where they live is really low. So many website owners who aren't too bothered about perfect grammar will use foriegn writers instead of American or British writers.

Even if you do get work, there is a very good chance it will be on topics you have absolutely no interest in. Plus you will be expected to write potentially dozens of articles all about exactly the same thing. This is so boring after a short period of time. It would be great to be more creative with your writing however this doesn't always work out. The short-term money is in non-fiction writing. So you either just have to accept it or find a way of making money with your writing passively.
